Mr. Andrew Tan Lyn San, is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and an associate member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIAM). He holds a Master in Education majoring in educational psychology.
He has over 28 years of working experience in public practice and commercial industries. He started his career at Singapore with a big 4 firm in audit assurance before he returned to Malaysia at the end of 2000. Upon returning to Malaysia, he took up the position as Group Finance Manager with MNC, a manufacturing company of thermal insulation materials used mainly in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration for residential, commercial and industrial buildings. He managed all the financial and accounting matters to support the business and operations.
Subsequently, he led the company in IPO and it was listed at the Bursa main market in 2007. Mr Tan was repositioned as Executive Director and Group CFO to the listed Holding company. His primarily responsibility is on the governance, compliance, risk management and strategic management.
Currently Mr Tan is the CFO with TVETTAA and also a part-time lecturer at a private international university and an external examiner for accountancy professional body. Mr. Tan is a regular speaker and trainer for public listed companies and professional bodies as a certified HRDC trainer.
