The first batch (Cohort 1) of this programme, currently being implemented among GIATMARA Wilayah Persekutuan students, comprises 11 selected candidates. This initial cohort serves as a pilot project, paving the way for future expansion to other GIATMARA centres nationwide.

This initiative provides participants with hands-on training, industry certification, and real-world work exposure, enhancing their employability and readiness for future careers. Through TVETAA’s role as the programme’s service provider, participants benefit from structured modules, industry-aligned learning, and direct engagement with employers, offering them valuable exposure to the industrial world.

A highlight of the programme is the Industry Senior Forum, where students have the opportunity to engage directly with experienced professionals and industry leaders from various sectors. This forum offers firsthand insights into emerging industry trends, workforce expectations, and diverse career pathways. It serves as a vital bridge between education and employment, inspiring students to step confidently into the world of work.

Why GIATMARA Students

GIATMARA students were selected for their strong technical foundation and practical skills that align closely with industry needs. As a leading TVET institution under Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), GIATMARA focuses on producing skilled, job-ready graduates capable of thriving in both local and global markets.

By engaging these students, the K-Youth Development Programme (Track B) bridges the gap between training and employment, ensuring participants gain not only technical expertise but also the mindset, professionalism, and soft skills required for long-term career success.

Programme Goals

  1. Equip participants with the mindset, skills, and tools to thrive in an AI-driven and digitally evolving workforce.

  2. Enhance youth employability through structured training, forums with industry experts, and real-world placements.

  3. Support Malaysia’s TVET transformation and economic growth agenda under the Malaysia MADANI framework.
